The 18-hole golf course at Le Chambon-sur-Lignon, located at the foot of Mont Mézenc and Pic du Lizieux, is one of the world’s finest mountain golf courses. At the foot of Mont Mézenc and Pic du Lizieux, it offers a 5981-meter par 72 course designed by Michel Gayon.

A little history...
In 1980, the first driving range was created at Les Chatoux, in Le Chambon-sur-Lignon. Two years later, a group of enthusiasts formed an association to structure the activity.
In 1987, the first 9 holes designed by Michel Gayon were inaugurated.
In 1994, the present 18-hole golf course was inaugurated. The course is unique in that it straddles the Haute-Loire and Ardèche regions, and now includes 12 ponds.


A technical course
Le Chambon-sur-Lignon is one of the mountain golf courses, a demanding course with numerous water hazards. You’ll discover an exceptional panorama from tee 13, with a magnificent view of Mont Mézenc. To be a good golfer, you need to combine concentration, energy and tone!
The golf course is open from late March to November. In addition to the classic 18-hole course, novices and experienced golfers alike can enjoy 3 introductory holes and a driving range, all in a natural, wooded setting. This enchanting setting makes all the difference, and the course layout promises a feeling of communion with nature…
On-site services and store
Rent your equipment on site(8 carts are available) and set off on the course with complete peace of mind. The proshop also has a store in partnership with Eurogolf Saint-Etienne for your equipment and clothing. Gilles and Antoine will be happy to advise you on your purchases, and you can test the equipment too.
Learn to swing... Golf instruction and lessons
Antoine COUBLE, state-qualified golf instructor, offers individual lessons, group lessons, introductory courses and the possibility of obtaining a green card. During the summer season, he also offers week-long courses for children and adults. Every spring, the golf course also takes part in the ” Tous au golf ” operation, for an easy way to discover this activity.

More than 40 events and competitions take place every year at the Pierre de Lune golf course in Le Chambon-sur-Lignon.
Lunch on the golf course
Open 7 days a week in season, La Table du Golf welcomes you to the bar from 8am to 7pm and to the restaurant from 12pm to 4pm. Local and seasonal cuisine. Enjoy lunch by the fire in a cosy atmosphere or on the terrace overlooking the greens.
