La Dolce Via Ardèche side

What is the Dolce Via?

90 kms of safe, well-maintained footpath in the heart of the Ardèche’s unspoilt countryside and wide open spaces.

Closest to home, you’ll find it starting from the village of Saint-Agrève.

A journey through time!

The Dolce Via takes you through history, from the Eyrieux Valley to the Doux Valley. This former railroad line, built in the late 19th century to open up the region, is now a popular route for pedestrians and cyclists.

On foot or by bike, with family, friends, as a couple or on your own, explore this picturesque path, dotted with hidden treasures.

Stay connected to the rail!

La Dolce Via remains connected to the golden age of railroads.

From Saint-Jean-de-Muzols/Tournon-sur-Rhône station, climb aboard the Mastrou, a historic train overlooking the Doux gorges. A dedicated carriage for bikes is available, with reservation required on trainardeche.fr.

In Saint-Agrève, join the Via Fluvia(viafluvia.fr) to explore the Loire to the Rhône by boarding the Velay Express to Raucoules.
