The little train in practice

From April onwards, the historic Velay Express railroad will run every Sunday between Velay and Vivarais.
It’s an experience for all the family, and has been awarded the ” Famille plus” label.

To make the most of the Velay-Express historic railroad, here’s our advice, tips and practical information you’ll need before and during the trip.

What kind of trip?

Full or half day

The day trip between Raucoules and Saint-Agrève: every Sunday from April to the end of October.
To take your time visiting the villages, you can choose your route, for example:
From Raucoules to Le Chambon-sur-lignon, with a stop at Le Chambon.
From Saint-Agrève to Tence, with a stopover in Tence.

Half-day trips are preferable if you have little ones.
Parents and children can enjoy a trip in two sections instead of 3.
You can then change trains at Chambon-sur-Lignon or Tence.
