Originally from Normandy, Marie-Laure Demutrécy spent a long time vacationing in the Haute-Loire, and one day, she didn’t leave… and settled here, in the village of Le Chambon-sur-Lignon.
She began learning her trade over 15 years ago, after walking through the door of a workshop in her native region. After 10 years with her apprenticeship masters, she decided to take flight.
She uses simple shapes to create useful, durable objects. Inspired by nature, each piece is shaped by hand. The decorations are imprinted with materials gleaned here and there: pine cones, bark, flowers… After firing, these unique objects, imbued with poetry, emerge from the kiln.
