Souzani, the talent scout

Sadaf,

Trained as a seamstress and passionate about fabrics, after studying architecture in Marseille and St Etienne, she worked at the “Atelier du coin” in St Etienne with her friend Elodie and a number of artists.

Then Le Chambon-sur-Lignon, her family’s home village, became an obvious choice. An opportunity, a house sold in the heart of the village, and her own boutique “Souzani”, “aiguille” in Persian, was born in 2018. The adventure begins…

Sadaf, luminous like the origin of her first name “coquillage”, a symbol of beauty and purity, is a self-taught artist. Training with the MOF in St Etienne, with a Canadian artist, she has her own line of conduct and imposes her own artistic choices.

Our favorite? her tiny, fascinating workshop, brimming with all sorts of treasures. She’s a regular here, so just lean over to her counter! Her passion: jewelry, pearls, stones, brass, silver and wood glide through her artist’s fingers.

She’s also a talent scout, with over 12 talented artists exhibiting and selling their creations in her cozy little boutique. Sandra Coelho’s ceramics, Gaëlle Boissonnard’s cards and unique pieces, Mam Couzette’s children’s clothes, Nathalie Ginhoux’s jewelry.
