Because here on the Plateau du Vivarais-Lignon, we love to read! There’s a large bookshop in Tence, La Boîte à Soleils, 5 bookshops in Le Chambon-sur-Lignon, and media libraries in the 6 villages of the Haut-Lignon.

Le Pays-Lecture: ké sa ko?

This is the network of media libraries for Haut-Lignon in the Haute-Loire and Val’Eyrieux in the Ardèche.

Designed especially for you, the network of media libraries offers you :

A 5€/pers/month vacation card valid throughout the network, with a loan of up to 20 documents +1 game. Books, magazines, regional collections, e-readers, CDs, DVDs… not forgetting the librarians’ favorite reading items.

A toy library

For the little ones: albums, a dedicated children’s area in media libraries with the Famille plus label and adapted equipment, early-learning books, albums and a whole collection of children’s books. Media libraries are real meeting places, with cultural events, entertainment and leisure activities all year round, including “randolipettes”, art workshops, games, etc.

24 hours of books an autumn rendezvous not to be missed!

10 years of adventures around reading, which marks the start of the new literary season.

Meetings with authors such as Marie-Hélène Lafon (Les Sources, Editions Buchet-Chastel), Cyprien Févelat, Pierre Présumey (Aux champignons, Editions Hauteur d’homme). Readings, music, theater and cinema punctuate the days, as in 2024 with the show “La Joie”. A one-man show created at the Festival Off d’Avignon 2024, directed by Tristan Robin and performed by actor Olivier Ruidavet. A stroll-reading punctuates the 24 hours of the book, the paths are also propitious and inspiring places.
