The climb isn’t very long, but it is steep. Bring good walking shoes.

The Lizieux fun trail!

As soon as you set off along the path, a fun trail awaits children, who can try their hand at the structures and puzzles, until they reach the Pierre Levée, where the panorama stretches all the way to Mont Mézenc.
Children can learn about the formation of volcanoes, play with the phonolith stone, jump on the wooden structures, etc.

Le Haut-Lignon, a Family Plus destination

Why Haut-Lignon wanted join the Famille plus network?

Le Haut-Lignon has a long history of welcoming children, both as a tourist destination and in history with a capital “H”. Firstly, with the “Enfants à la Montagne” charity created by Pastor Louis Comte in 1893 to improve the living conditions of children in the Saint-Etienne mining basin. Vulnerable children suffering from social diseases (tuberculosis, anemia) were placed with families in the Plateau Vivarais-Lignon, with the aim of improving their health thanks to a two-month vacation in the fresh air!

Naturally, the Plateau turned to social tourism, with numerous vacation camps, children’s homes and boarding houses.
Welcoming children is a tradition here!
